Testimonials of the Appendix horse and this association
Lisa Duva of Conroe, TX email us "It's really nice to see the Appendix being recognized and acknowledged for the outstanding qualities and versatilities this magnificent horse posesess."

Kathy, sure you can use my comments! Yes, I have one 7 year old Appendix. His name is Dawsonian, he is 16.1 hands and sorrel in colour, one white stocking and a star, strip, snip! He is definitely my pride and joy!  This is my first Appendix  and I can truly say I plan on us being together for life. His breed is everything and more I could have ever wanted in a horse. He is the reason I smile! Thanks for responding.                                                                   Lisa                                                p.s. will you send me a form for registration?

I agree with you about the Thoroughbred being used to improve breeds then being lied and denied about.  If the breed is so hot and uncontrollable, why is it being used to improve so many other breeds?  That's one thing I liked about Monty Roberts.  He was always defending the Thoroughbreds and saying it's the people, not the breed of horse. Since my two boys were Thoroughbreds, I love people who defend them!"

Finally there's hope for my horses! I have two appendix registered horses. Regretfully I gelded my appendix stallion two years ago. If I has known about AAHA, I would not have gelded him. But I have a three year old stallion by my old stud. I hope to breed him later to my appendix mare or my TB mare! I will down load the forms and join soon. Please send me forms and literature from AAHA.
Thank, Al Wayne Hulsey

Brenda Kelley emails, "I also want to say that ya'll are a great bunch of people to do business with and I hope ya'll have a great New Year."

Alison Dula emails, "First let me say that I think it's great that someone decided to start an organization of this type.  Appendix horses can be very different from Quarter Horses and shows and events designed specifically for them is truly more fair, especially for those who wish to breed for hunter/jumper purposes.  I heard about this registry through the magazine EQUUS, which I currently Subscribe to.  I own an AQHA Appendix horse and was interested in registering him in the AAHA.  I also am interested in any upcoming events/shows for 2004.  I run barrels and poles and it is disheartening to have such a lack of events available for this sport in the Midwest, especially in the Quarter Horse world.  I was wondering hom much it would cost to register my horse with AAHA, an also what types of events your organization is planning for 2004.  I am also interested in becoming a member, but I would like some information about the costs associated with this.  Would it be cheaper to register my horse at the same time as I become a member? (He is a 6 year old) Any information that you could provide me with would be outstanding, preferable through email.  Thank you!"

Devon Miller or Mechanicsburg, PA emails, "It was so great to finally find a registry for Appendix's.  I bred my Thoroughbred stud to one of my Quarter horse mares.  I love the result I got, but I could not find any info on the AQHA website that made sense.  If you could please send me the information I need to register my coming 2 year old it would be much appreciated.  Thank you for taking the time to do this for me."

Racheal Bothwell of Ithaca, Ny emails, "Please send me any and all info on your association and how to become a member.  Recently, I aquired an appendix qh colt and an appendix qh mare--and learned that if I cross the two I can't get AQHA papers!!!  I am in such shock!!  They still have pure bloodlines!  So I don't understand this at all.

Thanks for being there"

Malissa Albracht emails, "I was reading over your enrollment forms and I was wondering.  I have a T. B. stallion and bred him to my APHA mare, is her colt eligible for AAHA?  The mare has a Quarter parent.  Also I own appendix mare that I bred to him, are they eligible!  This is great to be able to register Appendix mare if bred to a TB.  I breed for hunter jumpers.  Thank you very much"

Melissa Leibnitz emails, "Sorry I haven't got my papers sent in.  I have been so busy, but I will be registering my filly with AAHA.  I think it is a wonderful way to get a recognition for these horses in there own association.  They make such wonderful sport, pleasure and trail horses.  Thanks I will be sending the papers soon"

Lanny Virden or Kingston, MI emails, "Kathy, and all, keep up the good work in bringing the Appendix Horse's to light.  As I have mentioned to you I am interested in becoming one of your show Judge's.  Let me know when you have a rule book and if your stating a list of show please forward it to me.  We love our Appendix Chips Choc. Chip Mare, our Ole Pueblo, mare, as well as her colt from last year, Grand son to the Invester.  I will be reg. them with you soon, as well as singing up our family in the membership.  I hope all goes well with your future, and some of the Stars will shine on some of these fine horses."
